Malachi Place of Safety
We are thrilled to share some heartwarming news from Malachi Place of Safety. This past month has been filled with support and generosity.
For those who may not know, Malachi Place of Safety is a foster home for abused and abandoned children. A few years ago, Audrey and Ruaan, the dedicated owners of Malachi Place of Safety, saw a dire need in the community for a Safe Home. With the support of a local church, they took over the rent of a neighbouring house. In 2023 alone, the safe home provided shelter and care for over 30 children.
Unfortunately, Malachi Place of Safety faced a major challenge when the church pulled its funding, leaving us on the brink of closing our doors. Just when we needed it most, Leppard? reached out.
Leppard has been a steadfast supporter of Malachi Place of Safety since 2015, providing monthly donations that have been crucial to our operations. Recently, Glenn Standen from Leppard? visited our home in Cape Town and assured us of their support to help us keep the doors open of the safe home. This incredible gesture not only lifted a tremendous burden off our shoulders but also secured a safe place for our children for years to come.
Their generosity didn’t stop there. Recognising that our once-reliable Combi was no longer safe for transporting the kids, Leppard made a significant donation to help us purchase a newer vehicle. This means our children can now travel safely to and from school and afterschool activities.
We are deeply grateful to Leppard? for their ongoing support and generosity. It is through the kindness of companies like them that we can continue to provide love, safety, and a chance at a better life for these vulnerable children.
Thank you, Leppard.
