I have a confession and wonder if I am not alone in this.


I don't want to sit on your live demo. It's not personal. It runs counter to virtually everything else.


Everything else in my life is delivered to me on my terms. Groceries. Amazon Prime. News. Movies. TV Shows. I consume real or digital things as they add value to my life. I consume them on my terms. Often simultaneously.


This consumption pattern makes singular focus on a live demo difficult. I want to learn differently. The approach of forcing the prospect into a live demo is inherently overly seller-focused.?


When I receive cold outreach asking for 30 mins of my time or more, I can't help but wonder why initial outreach is so devoid of value.?


I don't know you. I don't know your company. You're reaching out to me cold but have yet to indicate how you'll create value for me.?


When the compensation structure of your SDRs is tied to demos set and demos attended, you end up with a sales team that stops listening.


When on sales calls, I've gone so far as to ask, "Can you send me a video recording?" I've been met with something between resistance and outright ignorance of my request. This response on a sales call is a missed opportunity for too many sales teams, especially given what you can do with video.?
