The International Monetary Fund reports that trade has the potential to significantly boost women’s role in the economy, reduce inequality, and expand women’s access to skills and education. FIFA 's president, Gianni Infantino , urged women’s football to “pick the right battles” in the fight for equal pay while placing the onus on women to enforce the change. ?? Most Women Live In Countries With Larger Gender Gaps

More than 90 per cent of the world’s female population live in countries characterized by a large women’s empowerment deficit and a large gender gap. Fewer than one per cent of women and girls globally live in a country with both high women’s empowerment and a small gender gap in areas such as health and education. ???? Large Companies In New Zealand To Report Gender Pay Gaps

New Zealand's minister for women, Jan Tinetti, has announced that businesses with more than 250 employees will be asked to report their gender pay gaps. The new legislation will initially affect around 900 businesses but the requirement will eventually be extended over four years to cover companies that employ more than 100 workers, encompassing around 2,700 firms.
