Making the Very Best of Our Golden Years
Have you ever wondered how it will feel to be 74? It seemed so far away, almost unreal in many ways, and yet here I am with the journey before me to be valued and embraced.
A few years ago I unexpectedly found myself in critical care minus 1 lung with the other filled with blood clots wondering where to from here. You could say it was somewhat of a life-changer really, igniting the inspiration to use this experience to give back by creating a heart-based course to fill primary gaps that exist today in regard to what choices are available to those approaching their Elder or Golden Years.
The Ageing R-Evolution Program was birthed after much research, many relevant conversations and wonderful connections with other people and organisations focused on bringing change to the current gaps in education and empowerment for our elders. So many have no idea of the choices available to them at this time e.g. the value of Advance Care Planning or of having an Advance Health Directive as a beginning.
Courageous Conversations with family in regard to the participant's care choices are also addressed in conjunction with truly making peace with the past as much as is possible by acknowledging the meaning within and value of one's life no matter how it has been.
The Ageing R-Evolution Program was facilitated for Mercy Care last year and well-received.

I am 79 in two weeks and still going well, at the same time I have a 'death folder' on my computer to make it easier for whoever has to deal with my affairs after I leave this earth. Your course sounds tremendous; I encourage readers who know people who are in the vicinity and able to travel to Clarkson in the W.A. to share your article with them. xo ??
