Making TIME Count- this is about being Present, not Productive.

When I looked at the clock it was 3:20 a.m. and I was excited.?

Why was I excited? Because I was born at 3:29 a.m.; I relish in and love the opportunity to pray and meditate on why I came into this world if I can be present right at the moment it happened.?

Well… 10+ minutes went by and I missed the freaking mark because I was scrolling on here.?

I’m fng pissed. Nothing anybody was doing or saying was more important than me looking at myself and concentrating on my own life.?

I don’t have time to waste looking at y’all. Someone reading this is going to think I’m a lunatic for being up that early and having the actual energy to be angry but hear me out.?

If you believe we’re all here for a #purpose- as I obsessively do- you understand the salience of #time.?

The time we came here and the slither of it we get to make it count.?

I’m an optimist- life is abundant, purpose is pregnant but 1 thing I’m pessimistic to a fault about is time. Time is more valuable than money and it is scarce af.

It's also the most equitable #birthright we have in the world- the CHOICE to have ownership of it, to break free of cycles that rob it, to decide where and how to use it. We can pretend all day that we’re mindless freaking robots that have to idly scroll at 3:25 when our literal huge moment on this earth is minutes away or we can #GetUpAndStandUp for our lives and be INTENTIONAL within our space here.

I’m not done.?

Many of you know for the 100th billionth time that I hold the distinguished, executive title of #Mom and I’m proud of it. What you don’t know is that many of us moms have experienced loss and tragedy.?

So what I’m also keenly aware of is- even you bigots that I can’t stand on here- are miracles. Please breathe this in:

There are millions upon billions of chances that you were NOT going to turn into a cellular reality. And even then- there are countless blameless things that can happen while you are in your mother’s womb.

Basically, there were a trillion reasons you didn’t have to make it to the other side- into this realm.?

But YOU did. You're here on earth, alive to tell a story today. In fact, some of you have classmates and ex-lovers, siblings and 1st cousins that aren’t physically or mentally present here anymore. (I fit into multiple... all... of those categories).?

We’re standing in place of them, we’re chosen… to continue to be here. What seemed like a curse, the worst thing(s) to ever happen to us- turned out to be a blessing, even an advantage. To have greater awareness of life and the meaning and purpose of it all is #revolutionary. It’s also a calling that you shouldn’t take lightly.?

Grab. The. Reigns. Of. Your. Life.

Be. Fruitful. Frugal. And. Faithful. With. Your. TIME.?

Side note: I forgot to add, when I looked at the clock again and was pissed because I missed the 3:29 mark- it was 3:33 a.m. It was too early to stay pissed for long so I looked up what the sequence of 333 could signify.
