Featuring a diverse mix of speakers and panelists from around the world, the Summit's plenary and breakout sessions focused on six areas: Economic Empowerment, Health and Wellness, Educational Opportunity, Violence Against Women, Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Leadership and Civic Engagement.
Senior Vice President, Chief Global Diversity and Engagement Officer, Deborah Rosado Shaw served as a panelist on, “A Conversation with Trailblazers: Making the Case for Gender Diversity Across Industries and Sectors.” Fellow panelists included Dr. Jen Welter, the first female coach in the National Football League and Carla Harris, vice chairman of Wealth Management and senior client advisor, Managing Director at Morgan Stanley. All the women shared their personal experiences which have formed and shaped their actions towards making gender diversity an imperative in their respective fields. They all agreed that although there has been progress, there is still much more to do. We must strive to be even more innovative in our solutions as we look to the future.
