Making a Smooth Transition Home

This newsletter is 4 days late, thanks to delayed flights, jet lag, vacation withdrawal symptoms/post-vacation blues?and transitioning back into life in the?US, after almost 3?weeks overseas.
Returning home and getting back into your regular sleep cycle and?routine is hard after a vacation especially if it's across several time zones.
I had a lovely time in India meeting up with family and friends and also playing tourist and then traveled to Tokyo Japan ( my first visit)?and had a phenomenal time.?
With Junko Gomi , Former President and CEO of H2O in San Francisco and now a repat in Japan.
Check out a few more photos of the trip?on my social media platforms
And talking of travel?withdrawal symptoms or post-vacation blues, I think this explanation?by Wikipedia, the Free Encyclopedia is spot on,?
"A person may suffer from post-vacation blues after returning home or to a normal routine from a long vacation, especially if it was a pleasurable one.?This is because after some people return home, they realize how boring and unsatisfactory their normal lifestyle is when compared to the activities they did while on their vacation. Post-vacation blues may result in tiredness, loss of appetite, strong feelings of nostalgia, and in some cases, depression. Jet lag may intensify the post-vacation blues."
Here are some things I am trying to implement to get over the blues and get back into the swing of things:
1. Exercise - going for short walks to help boost my mood and energy.
2. Hydrating and trying to eat nutritious meals?
3. Creating posts and sharing photos and highlights about my trips
4. Scheduling meetups and coffee dates?with friends
5. Easing back into work by creating a to-do list and prioritizing tasks.
6.??Planning my next getaway even if it's very much?in the future.
Do you have anything to add to help overcome vacation blues? Let me know in the comments of this newsletter
