At SAIC, we are grateful for the talented veterans who chose our company in which to entrust their careers following their service to our nation. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported in 2021 that no matter the length of service, nearly one in four veterans pursue local, state or federal government work after their military careers. An even larger number of disabled veterans – 27% – choose government jobs, including 18% in the federal space.?

Even after leaving the service, over 6,000 veterans continue protecting our nation every day at SAIC through the development of artificial intelligence/machine learning, software, cyber and digital engineering, advanced analytics and more.?

As digital transformation takes hold across all branches of the military, Department of Defense customers represent half of our business. ●?????We increased our 2023 benefits by enhancing our military leave policy, ensuring military reservists who work at SAIC will receive the maximum salary allowed while they are deployed.

●?????SAIC’s Military/Veterans Employee Resource Group (M/VERG) is our second-largest ERG and serves as a regular forum for voluntary service members and their families. In addition to celebrating each other’s contributions to the nation’s defense, M/VERG members provide peer guidance and mentorship opportunities for recently transitioning veterans in our company.

●?????For military members recently finishing their service, the transition to civilian life can be challenging. SAIC’s veteran employees regularly participate in virtual events with our recruiting partners to provide career advice to fellow veteran job-seekers at career chats and events. The Nonprofit Partners at SAIC

Naturally, a huge component of our local and national outreach with nonprofit partners is uplifting veterans and military families in need.

For the past nine years, SAIC has joined forces with Building Homes for Heroes (BHH) to construct/modify homes for disabled veterans and their families. Since 2013, we’ve been able to give 13 mortgage-free homes to some incredibly deserving heroes.

We are grateful for the service and the sacrifices made—not only by the 6,000 veterans at SAIC—but by the millions of others who have dedicated their lives to ensuring our nation's safety and prosperity.

A large portion of our annual employee hires have been former service members, translating to around 900 veteran hires each year. We provide one convenient location for veterans to view open jobs.
