Making Retirement Income Last
Gavin Molloy MBA CFP
Have partnerships in real estate or small business made you wealthy? Now you want to cash in and retire? Thats where I come in to help you navigate ??? 10 years as a financial planner 20+ years as an entrepreneur
Canadians are living longer - many over 90 - leaving retirement nest eggs needing longevity and inflation protection. You may be looking at your pocketbook with a little worry.
Would you like something that stretches your nest egg, but doesn't stress you out?
Okay, let's talk about bucketing.
Bucket 1 is very conservative like a high interest fund (1-2% growth) for anything within about a year.
Bucket 2 is for 3-7 years of income. It is slanted towards safety with a balance of fixed income and diversified equities (2-4% growth).
Bucket 3 is for growth, hedging inflation and longevity risk. 7 years or more away from being needed. This is primarily globally diverse equities (5-7% growth).
I always offer the bucketing strategy to my clients.
It's one of many ways I can help you live stress free in retirement. It looks at all of the risks, including inflation and longevity and puts you in the sweet spot.
Consider a financial plan to fully understand your options and their impact on liquidity, tax, investments, risk, estate and your retirement income.
Why not get a second opinion on one of the most important aspects of your life?
