Making Q4, 2023 Count By Creating Lasting Impact Through Decisive Actions

As per the Cambridge Dictionary, Decisive Action refers to the ability to make quick and confident decisions or display this quality, indicating a mindset and behaviour that remains resolute and unafraid when taking steps towards achieving goals.

Upon revisiting this, I realized that some of the actions and activities in one of our businesses have been solely focused on maintenance, with limited potential for significant growth. In other words, we have been hesitant to take the necessary steps to reach the next level. As someone in a leadership position, I do not endorse this approach. Nevertheless, we have begun strategically changing our approach to business matters in Q4 and beyond.

We have adopted the US Marine Co decision framing where we are saying; to live beyond tomorrow, as an organization, our decisive actions should lead to larger successes. The US Marine Co envisions Decisive Actions as those the commander (leader) deems fundamental to achieving mission success. These actions create an environment in which the enemy should lose its means or will to resist. For an action to be decisive it must lead directly to a larger success.

My point is there is one more opportunity to make it right. Making right begins with an audit of all actions.

Listen, the activities from yesterday (Q1-Q3) might not have been finished, but we have the opportunity to decide what we do with them today. And who can say what the day after tomorrow will bring but by calculations of assumption? It is not assured, but the decisions we make right now, yes, this day - could impact whether or not what we desire happens.

#BigShotBoldMoves tribe, as we begin the month of #october and Q4 of 2023, let us make it a priority to make the most of every opportunity we have to advance toward our objectives and realize our visions.

We can triumph over any obstacles that stand in our way so long as we keep our focus, use our know-how and put our faith in God's favour and provision.

Therefore, let's make the most of today and put our efforts toward building a better tomorrow into action.
