Making the perfect 'Lives Of Writers' video
Hello - a few days to go until shooting kicks off for 'Lives of Writers' - this crazy film project I'm trying to rope you all into.
Having said shooting should take place on Feb 21 and/or 22, there's no real reason to limit the number of days to shoot on, so I'm going to throw the filming period open to any time from Feb 22 to 28. Your footage should be submitted (via a Youtube/Vimeo/Dropbox or other shareable link) from Feb 22 to March 7.
I've also found a short video from Joe Walker, who edited the original 'Life In A Day' film, (worth a watch if you havent), giving a few quick tips that I think are worth following.
Watch Joe's video here, and in summary, here are his main points.
1. Don't over-edit (or edit at all). No finessing. Raw material plz.
2. As high quality as possible, but don't sweat it if you only have basic tech, because...
3. ...content is king. Your story(ies) is(are) what really matter(s).
4. Submit as much footage as you like.
That's it for now - here's the full guideline doc again.
