Making an omelette without breaking the eggs

I recently wrote an article for our Review journal on the challenge of rebuilding transport infrastructure whilst still offering transport services. Transport services support thriving economies and access to essential services so you can't just turn them off for construction projects.

To deliver transformative projects will take careful planning, excellence in customer service, compromise on conflicting demands and probably continuing innovation and creativity to develop new value-adding solutions in construction, logistics and service delivery. At the heart then relies a seriousness of intent, a cold-hard focus from an early stage about service delivery and an analytical and transparent understanding of the trade-offs and value of different choices.
