The majority of my local community had no idea that I write or what I've been through. I speak openly on social media yet at home I've been leading a very quiet life. No more. Having my debut novel recognised on a global stage has pushed me outside my comfort zone as I realise my potential. Whatever the outcome in Ohio, I am embracing this opportunity -- an opportunity that I know will make a massive difference to me. My New Year's resolution was to make 2018 count. Its been quite the year for me so far.
