Making new Danish lighthouses shine

The international medium EU-Startups https://www.eu-startups.com/2019/02/10-danish-startups-to-look-out-for-in-2019/ took a close look at the Danish startup scene to select 10 companies to look out for in 2019.

Out of the 10 companies selected, PreSeed Ventures invested in 5, to make up a stunning 50% of the list. We are always excited and proud when members of the PreSeed family gets recognition, however, in this case we are particularly excited as the companies selected represent all of our early investment stages.

The 5 companies nicely represents all stages of our early stage investments – The Hedia founders Peter Lucas, Christina Kildentoft and Andreas Jespensgaard and Plant Jammer founded by Michael Hasse are the young ‘faces’ together with 78 companies who are or have been in our Discovery programme. Artland and their intrepid founders Mattis and Jeppe curth is one of our recent pre-seed investments. Whereas Grandhood, led by Jon Lieberkind has already accelerated to the next level Venture investors since we invested in 2017. Finally Seaborg Technologies is an investment in the Moonshot category where CEO Troels Sch?nfeldt and his team has potential to one day change the World’s order in energy production.

 Investing in the earliest stages of a startup is a volatile but also rewarding business – to us more grapping than any page-turner. Early-stage investments is PreSeed Ventures home-ground.
