One of the most common conversations I have with candidates is about it being "the right time" to make a move and I totally understand, but how do we give ourselves the best chance to get the timing right.
Signs it might be the right time:

Over time you'll get a better idea what's interesting to you, maybe it's the technology or domain or maybe it's flexibility and autonomy?
This is even easier if you find a recruiter you trust, someone who knows your market and has experience working with people in your position. (I know I biased) Ask them questions, push for details and tell them your priorities so that when that opportunity arises you'll be the first to know.
I've lost count of the number of times I've had a conversation with someone about their ideal role only to have something very similar pop up a few months later!

So next time you get a call from myself or one of the VANRATH team, hear us out, you never know what's out there and worst case scenario you'll know a bit more about the market and have a connection that might be useful in the future.
All conversations are 100% confidential and it might just open some doors you didn't even know were out there!
