Making a 'Moova' with Majihkra ME74
I'm currently teaching myself how to use Autodesk's Fusion 360 solid modelling program. Traditionally I have used Trispectives V1 to do 3-D models with quite a high degree of success. Thought I'd do a visual study of our 'Moova' interior Concept for the ME74 electric truck I draw up about 18 months back. The design is simple and minimalist, but quite elegant, where the idea of less is more.
Although the interior concept shown is by no means complete, the Fusion modeller allows quick, quality renderings to be created that can inform or reject mind's-eye thoughts and visual musings quickly with high fidelity. The Fusion 360, has good render output capability and is reasonably easy to use which is ideal for concept generation and iterations.
I'll be adding running updated visuals to this document, experimenting with ideas, colours, surfaces and variations to theme, with some design rationale and descriptions to accompany the graphics.
Dashboard variant V2 shown above has a number of design features added, the most obvious being the large HUD infographic screen which can be raised or lowered depending on driver mode, and activity.
A secondary touch control bar now extends from the steering column assembly, and a chrome surround and 'M' badge adorn the oblong steerer hub centre.
Above: Door card, and trim colour alternatives added. Looks good in white or red or blue trim too, but good luck keeping it 'white' white in the real world. ;-)
Thanks for dropping by...
