What is a Maverick?

Building Champions in business and in life.

Mavericks don’t give in, they don’t give up. They wake every day with a ‘fire-in-their-belly’ and know that they are their own competition. They have to compete with only themselves. When we take on the task to perform at our highest levels and improve what we can, we win. Everyone wins around us when we do this.

Why am I doing what I’m doing in business and its impact.

More than anything I love champions. Mavericks. Thoroughbreds. The best of the best. The top 4% like my favorite book, The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson. 

Why, champions? They challenge me. They show me that its possible. Anything’s possible. They prove that if you work at it. You can have it. I’ve been given the ‘discipline strength’ so I’ve simply connected this discipline strength with a champions mindset to become fearless (in business and in life). 

When we’re fearless, we surrender. When we surrender, we have no fear. When we have no fear. We have the ability to take action. I’ve had to face my fears more than once. When I simply surrender to whatever is coming, whatever is happening I’m able to accept it in a way that’s empowering.

I love to be empowered. I actually LOVE these four core feelings; peaceful, energized, empowered and love. I make every decision from ‘how I want it to feel’. I ask myself ‘does this feel peaceful?’, is this energizing? Am I empowered? When I operate from this depth of my core, I know it’s right. It’s pure. It has intention. 

I surrender to my fear. I allow rather than resist. 

I’ve been shown, through numerous obstacles and barriers of my own that it can happen. I’m “just a girl” and the powerful and amazing people that I’ve been able to align with have superseded my expectations. I’m blown away at the folks I have on speed dial. All my life, I’ve been enamored by influence and power.

I love power. I guess I see power as strength. I need strength, more often than not. So, to align with powerful opportunities, powerful people, powerful initiatives, it simply gives me strength. 

Like you, nothings come easy. I never go for easy, I’m driven by challenges, obstacles and barriers. The power I’ve ‘harnessed’ through the witness of champions allows me to bypass easy and step into the ‘let’s go for it, why not’ mindset. I always say ‘the magic’s in the stretch zone’. I choose to stretch every day and see what happens when I do. I’ve achieved more than I would have if I would have chosen to stay small, comfortable, not stretching. Empowering. That’s a choice. If I’m empowered, I can empower others. 

I LOVE to connect and collaborate with experts in their industries, published authors and fascinating people. As a Chief Inspirational Officer, I’m focused on the development of people by unearthing their values, talents and self-worth (aka self-esteem). People matter. Self-worth matters. Time matters. When it all aligns, everything works.

So why do I love to do what I do? What impact is this having on others?

My product is people. I’m called on to challenge people to develop their ‘personal power’, defined as their value, talents and self-worth. When we tap into this personal power, we understand the depth of our being. We gain confidence, we become better at leading ourselves and ultimately others. When we do this, we perform at higher levels. When we perform at high levels we achieve more, we do more, we become more. I’ve always wanted more for myself. I want more for others. That’s just me bein me!

I love champions, I love people, I love power, I love performance but for all the right reasons.

I’m the most grounded and faith-based person you’ll find. I’m pure. I’m simple. I’m love.
