Preamble
The challenge that faced me in 1990 was How to make the impossible, possible!
In 1990, at the age of 43, with 19 years of experiencing nothing but 'Hardships' in the form of bosses agreeing with 'standards' decided upon by theorists and agreed upon without any physical evidence ('facts not in evidence') I faced a very bleak future.
Pre 1990
Finding employment in Sydney Australia at that time was extremely difficult. The only 'Resources' (which were a 'Value' to me) were:
1. A MacIntosh Plus Apple computer
2. The Omnis 7 Integrated Development Environment software
3. The words 'Management Information Systems'
4. Hierarchical database architecture
5. Relational Theory
6. Michael A Jackson's Structured Programming approach
7. Structured Analysis
Post 1990
By the end of 1990 I managed to produce my Ripose approach & wrote my Caspar engine without:
1. The internet
2. The 'knowledge' of:
2.1. ISO standards
2.2. Kant's 'Critique of Pure Reason'
3. The work of:
3.1. Drucker - Management by Objectives & Strategic Planning
3.2. Porter - Value Chains
3.3. IBM's Business Systems Planning
