Making the "Forbes 30 Under 30" list

It’s a good day. I have the immense pleasure of finally announcing making the Forbes 30 under 30 Europe list, heading the "Social Entrepreneurs" category for the class of 2017. And just in time, because come April, i’ll never be an under 30 again! See the nomination here. Out in print on January 24th.

Staking my first 30 years on this planet by featuring on one of the most prestigious lists for young entrepreneurs feels me with pride. This is the result of monastic work by my team and I. Almost 4 years of singleminded desire to build the best toy company in the world, one great toy at a time.

Claiming this small achievement as mine alone would be inappropriate. Being on this list isn’t about me, it’s about what i have the privilege of representing. A common mission shared between colleagues, customers, investors, family, and friends . Those who believe, and even those who don’t.

Investors that pitched in when no-one else would, like Benjamin Vedrenne-Cloquet, Adam Knight, Gauthier Reymondier, Devin Kohli and Grant Bergman, Jacob Waern, Randi Zuckerberg, Marco Marinucci, and many more. Too many to name all. Emerge Education, Highway1, and the PCH family. People who just helped, like Rachel Masters, James Sandoval, Julio Terra, and Lisa Q. Fetterman. Amazing partners like Valeria Leonardi and Ben Callicott, and of course, an incredibly supportive family.

We took a little idea, and transformed it into a sturdy, cash positive up-start. A global toy company, with operations spanning 4 continents, manufacturing facilities in South-East Asia, sales and distribution hubs in North America, head offices in Europe, and thousands of customers in more than 90 countries. 

Awards, lists, and press clipping are great, but they’re not “results”. They’re merely road side markers. Reminders we’re marching in the right direction, that we should work harder, better, and go further. I’m beyond excited to show you all what my little team and I are capable of.
