Making Ends Meet This Fall
Holidays are just around the corner and the world has been sitting in uncertainty since April. This is a good time to find more stability as we prepare to go into the colder half of the seasons. I'm never an advocate for focusing on money solely, however this article aims to give you some insight and open your mind when it comes to monetary compensation.
I've always been the kind of person who sets a goal and gains tunnel vision on that specific goal. Well, I used to be that kind of person until I began giving myself more options and space to change routes.
Being able to evaluate our skills for what they are and utilize them to help others. Making ends meet this fall might mean being able to spread your focus across various skills. Looking at where your talents and energy is needed. I believe everyone is different and what works for me might not work for you. I'm learning to build my schedule, goals, and planning around my top 3. My top 3 are the top hobbies or skills that I gravitate to the most.
If you freelance, try finding clients on sites like Upwork, Freelancer, or simply pitching brands on social media. You can also utilize your creativity to create content like videos, audio, and merchandise. Most of which are streams of passive income through Youtube and podcast platforms.
A huge step for me was applying for part-time work. As an entrepreneur it can feel like failing going back into working for others. However, I think keeping a steady income while we pursue the things we actually want is reasonable. Especially if you can find the meaning in other work.
I encourage you to write down the top 3 things you either enjoy doing or do very well. From there find more ways to expand in those areas. Try to be open-minded to potential short-term opportunities. We can always learn more and connect with new people. Release your ego, hold your head up high, and keep striving. You'll be good.
