Making a Difference with Your Business

“You can still make money as a business and do the right thing.”

As Michael Kuech explained during his conversation with A.J., making money and positively impacting the world are not mutually exclusive. ????

And Michael is speaking from experience. Through the business that they co-founded ( Your Super ), Michael and his partner Kristel are providing the world with access to high-quality, sustainably sourced superfoods. Not only are they improving the health of the people who consume their products, but they are also running a thriving business. Your Super is proof that business can be a real force for good!

The approach that Michael and Kristel have adopted is what is referred to as conscious entrepreneurship. Being a conscious entrepreneur involves making decisions that go beyond profits and prioritize the well-being of all stakeholders, including employees, customers, communities, and the environment.

To do this, take note of the following practices:

  1. Prioritize your social and environmental responsibility by reducing waste, minimizing your carbon footprint, and sourcing your materials and labor in an ethical manner.
  2. Engage with your stakeholders and incorporate their feedback into your decision-making processes.
  3. Practice ethical leadership by setting clear values and foundational principles that you and everyone else in your company can be held accountable to.
  4. Focus on the well-being of your employees by providing opportunities for growth, creating a positive work environment, and encouraging a healthy work/life balance.
  5. Be transparent about your business processes and the social and environmental impact that they are having.

Everybody wins if entrepreneurs adopt a conscious approach to business. So, do the right thing!
