Making A Difference Right Where You Are!

How many of us have had that thought, "Once I get to where I need to be (a better job, famous, wealthy, a bigger house, a better position in life), I will get involved in something where I can make a difference"?
I know that I have been guilty of it, myself. That constant desire to "Make the World a Better Place", but feeling like I am not in the right place to so. It's those doubts that hold us back from reaching our potential and doing whatever we feel called to do.
Sometimes, we are even guilty of thinking that it has to be something BIG, like starting up a charity, running an organization of some sort or hopping onto a plane and heading into the deepest darkest parts of South America to help feed starving children.
Granted, those needs are very real and are always looking for helping hand or even for someone to take the reigns. But what about the little differences that we see and hear about everyday? Things like putting a shoe box of gifts together for Operation Christmas Child, donating food to your local mission or food pantry, donating to The Humane Society, giving to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital, donating to The Wounded Warrior Program or so much more, is completely dependent on what you are willing and able to give. There aren't any expected obligations that would put you into a situation where you feel trapped into giving and yet, you can still make a difference.
We live in a very Beautiful but Broken World. Yes, there will always be people and animals that are in need. The condition has existed from the beginning of time and it will exist long after we are gone. But, it's our duty and a Blessing back to us, when we reach out and help someone in need.
We don't have to be rich, famous, have a better job or even own our own private yacht (although that would be nice) to make a difference. I say, do what you can, however you, TODAY.
