MAKING A DIFFERENCE: PAVE THE WAY

No person finds himself or herself at any stage of their career due solely to their own personal efforts - a combination of many factors having played out in one form or another as we have journeyed through our lives to the places in which we now find ourselves. Whatever your profession or community, that “place” will generally have been achieved thanks to a combination of hard work, discipline, focus and other personal attributes, education, mentoring, opportunities seized and created, risks taken, achievements and failures, sacrifice, the kindness and assistance of colleagues and others, and the love and support of family and friends – and perhaps even a little luck.?

Whatever your profession and community, as a person disposed to having a generous nature, the organizations, groups, and persons with which and with whom you have chosen to share your time and talent are the better because of your involvement. Simply put, you are Making a Difference.

As we “give back” to those who come behind us (however formally or informally) just as others helped us along the paths of our lives, it is imperative to keep in mind that we are guaranteed not more than the day that presently presents itself to accomplish this challenging task – a task that the privileges attendant to our positions demand of us.
