Making a difference in kids’ lives through the KGW Great Toy Drive

My favorite time of year – professionally and personally – is upon us: when the KGW Great Toy Drive, helps bring the spirt of the season to kids and families in need this holiday season. I'm proud that Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon is supporting this important initiative again this year.

Many families look forward to this annual event every year, because of the incredible impact it has on our community. When you see the smile on a child’s face when they receive a toy, you know you’ve made a difference in their lives. During yet another unprecedented year it’s critical that we lean in to support the 100+ nonprofit participating in the toy drive – including the Boys & Girls Club, Trillium Family Services, and more – and make the holidays brighter for local families.

Seeing thousands of donations pour in from across the metro area, year after year, reinforces everything we love about Oregon. This is a special place filled with people who know the value of giving back to others.

Here’s how you can safely spread cheer and participate in the KGW Great Toy Drive, taking place Monday, Nov. 1 – Tuesday, Dec. 14:

• Support the Toy Drive from the comfort of your home by purchasing a toy from KGW’s Great Toy Drive Amazon Wish List. Toys will ship directly to the KGW studio for distribution to the community.
• Alternatively, you can donate a new, unwrapped toy at any of the Toy Drop locations listed on KGW.com/toy or ship a toy to: KGW Studios | Attention: Toy Drive | 1501 Jefferson St. Portland, OR 97201.
• Donate cash: KGW will collect all donations to purchase and give toys to local nonprofits. Find instructions to donate online at KGW.com/toy
