Making a Difference

Happy Holidays fellow Peacemakers

We want to thank everyone for your Giving Tuesday support. Our campaign was a success, and because of your generous financial support, we will continue to influence students like Mekhi Perrin, a Junior philosophy major at Morehouse College. Brother Perrin is a devoted Peacemaker Ambassador. He serves as the site captain for M. Agnes Jones Elementary School.

Mekhi has used his influence on campus to bring additional volunteers to our various initiatives. Also, without any recommendation, he initiated a food drive at the AUC (Morehouse, Spelman, and Clark), and students collected food items for the community. One recipient of the food drive was a gentleman whose identity had been stolen and who needed groceries.?

I asked him, what does it mean for you to be a Peace Maker? He responded:

Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'" That quote from Dr. Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. has continuously motivated me to want more, not only for my own life but for the lives of others. Being a Peacemaker has fulfilled me in a way that only one can be fulfilled when doing God's work. Peacemakers have offered me a euphoric sense of peace and appreciation for the world as it allows me to be a change agent in my community. I will forever be indebted to Peacemakers for its impact on my life as it has allowed me to impact others positively and has indeed given a considerable portion of meaning to my life that I was missing. Sometimes life as a peacemaker gets tiring, but I have learned verses such as "So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time, we will reap a harvest of blessings if we don't give up." Galatians 6:9

We are excited for future students who will embrace the call to be a Peace Maker in their community. We would greatly appreciate it if you would like to give a year-end donation! https://www.peacemakers.life/
