Making a consistent effort is a great achievement.
This is a fact, this is something that needs to be perceived, especially for those who are in an endless struggle.
We are immersed in a constant struggle and trying to make our way to our destination, but whenever we face failure, we get frustrated, although we need to just take a look at where we have come from. If we realize even a little bit, the short-term failure and frustration will not affect us at all and will give us the courage to move forward, too.
I realized it a few days back when a new friend of mine Abidha Ummar revealed me this during a conversation to appreciate me and my constant struggle. Believe me, as I read her message, "making a consistent effort is a great achievement, "I promptly went into flashback and realized that I have come a long way, I have already crossed many milestones.
I think it is important to mention her here. I do not remember when and how Abida and I get connected on LinkedIn, but I know very well that Abida constantly follows my posts and articles. A few days back, I went to check out her profile to find out who she is!
verily, her profile clearly illustrates her career but there was something written in her profile "about" that insisted to send her a simple message with "thanks". I really did not know that a simple thanks-based message will prolong our communication and would bring us in a new story that went one step ahead from LinkedIn to WhatsApp.
A few days of conversation with Abidha has taught me many things, which I would like to share here, briefly.
1. Content works:
Look, your online appearance and content have a great impact, which we sometimes don't even know about it, it affects someone or something to some extent. I realized this at one point during our conversation when Abidha said, "I couldn't understand what but could read that you had a very big struggle to reach where you are." For a struggler like me, it is pretty enough that someone values my content as well as my story.
2. Like-minded people find each other:
Let me reveal that I have rarely had touch with like-minded people, whether online or offline, it often weakens my spirits but somehow I realize that "if I think like everyone else, what is the difference between me and them? Abida even admitted on one occasion, "I'm not like-minded," but even so not hesitating in jumping to a WhatsApp conversation from LinkedIn with a constant fellowship of my content is a kind of likeminded! (Abidha, you should at least agree on it :) )
3. If the journey has begun, continue it:
Look, you believe in yourself! You believe in your story! You believe in what are you doing! Then what is the reason for stopping it! Continue your hard work, the like-minded ones will come, even maybe stay, not just because you are someone special or your story is a special one, rather, people will find their story in your story, and so they will start doing what you do. I mean they will work for their "why" and then will inspire others, as well
4. Borders cannot change human thinking:
So many examples are out there, thousands of people of different religions, nations, and regions get together on one thought, spending their energies to make the world a better place by their ideas. Our (Me and Abidah's) example is also one of those examples, I mean her geographical belonging, a completely different culture, moreover Pakistan and India's typical things, :( then gender is another aspect, :) but nevertheless, being like-minded our thoughts brought us so far from borders and geographical differences.
And It's all about the content, your online appearance, your story, your consistency, your believing in yourself, that impacts people, their story.
