Making connections
Cloud computing brings some instant benefits for analysis. It is refreshing to design and analyse a massive wind farm on any old laptop, with the cloud bringing the computational heavy-lift.
Talking to our clients though, easy and quick analysis is one thing, but designing a project often needs many different systems and datasets. This is where the real power of the cloud comes in - connectivity between systems and data.
We're working hard to ensure that Boxkite has best-in-class connectivity.
Transmission systems everywhere
As an example, we've just added some carefully selected parts of the OpenStreetMap dataset to our wind farm design interface. You'll now find data layers showing the transmission system and existing wind turbine locations, everywhere in the world. It is actually quite addictive - cruising around the world looking at how projects are designed to reflect the local constraints and conditions.
Integration invitation!
We have more exciting integrations in the pipeline. If you're a data provider that wind farm developers need, and you'd like to talk about integration into Boxkite, do please get in touch.
Try Boxkite
If easy, quick and powerful wind farm design with seamless integrated datasets would improve your development processes then do get in touch for a demo, a trial or an annual licence at [email protected].

7 个月Lovely job. I would vote for OSM as being the most under-used resource in the whole of the wind industry. It's the Wikipedia of map data - way more accurate than you would expect to be possible... and free!
