Making The Blueprint, Our Blueprint

When I woke up this morning I realized that no matter what we are planning we need to have a blueprint to make sure we do not miss a thing. But what is a blueprint and where does it come from.
What does Wikipedia say about the blueprint:
A blueprint is a reproduction of a technical drawing, an architectural plan, or an engineering design, using a contact print process on light-sensitive sheets. Introduced by Sir John Herschel in 1842,the process allowed rapid, and accurate, production of an unlimited number of copies. It was widely used for over a century for the reproduction of specification drawings used in construction and industry. The blueprint process was characterized by white lines on a blue background, a negative of the original. The process was not able to reproduce color or shades of grey.
Now bringing this theory into my personal life and hopefully you can reflect this on your own life and situation. Making the personal blueprint is making the first steps to the next level. Having the blueprint created doesn't mean I am finished and done. Let us be realistic and try to explain it in a simple way:
When we design a house and have chosen a construction company, this does not mean your house will be constructed properly and as you dreamed it would be. You will have to make sure all that all the steps are done at the right moment and with the proper measurements.
In our personal lives, this can happen in the same way. When you change job without doing the proper check up and making sure all steps have taken care of. For example is the salary really higher or is their a hidden easter egg!
Back at our house explanation.
What do you need to do when you want to build a house in the proper way? You have to make sure that you combine the process step into a nice overview that makes sense, you will have one single process:
- Creating the blueprint, with an architect.
- Finding a construction company, to build the place.
- Finding an interior designer.
- Getting a mover, to move your things.
- And the list can go on.
When you combine all the elements, you are more sure a proper house will be built.
So how can I apply this to my personal journey, our journey I have to say, the journey of my fiancé and me. I live in the Netherlands my fiancé in Hong Kong, she is born in the Philippines and we both call that Home.
So the blueprint we have made is our journey from the Netherlands and Hong Kong to the Philippines.
- We choose each other, one beat two Hearts.
- We choose our home destination, the Philippines.
- Connecting online with a humble mind and honest words, connections building.
- Made a proper opening letter, words placed in the proper order.
- Send out my data to several connections, now we wait.
What is next?
- Applying to jobs that fit the mind and soul with the proper words.
- Closing the deal, prepare and travel to our success.
- Having side hustle, passion for coffee and more.
- Getting married (yes we do) in the Philippines.
- Having a family including our daughter Anna Sophia.
- Inviting YOU all our LinkedIn Family.
That is the blueprint, our blueprint. Source of blueprint origin https://e.wnikipedia.org

6 年Incredible and all applicable article Wouter Zijlstra, thank you! Ironically enough, I was just discussing with my son the importance of lists. I told him not to get carried away or even too detailed initially, rather make them 100% attainable so the success will turn habitual. You will have a better understanding of capabilities, realistic goals, time management, and self respect. Your article helped me definitively assertain different ways I can better my goal setting and approaches.
