Making Beer Bread, His Morning Constitution, The Beauty of Family

"When everything goes to hell, the people who stand by you without flinching -- they are your family. "

“We’re going to make beer bread this morning.” These were the first words were spoken by my 80-year-old mother. She’s standing a few feet from my writing chair, talking to my daughter and her fiance. My father just walked out of the bathroom and announced he finished his morning constitution. This is my family, and I love them, welcome to the Thompson Family Circus.

My Queen is to my left, sipping coffee as is “our’ daughter Carly MF Gail, all talking future wedding plans with my baby girl. It’s an exciting time here at the mountain house, we’ve got everyone here, but my son and his wife, there is currently a baby in their baby-making factory, we will include them and their baby girl to be named later.

We’re all sipping coffee; it’s what we do, we’re telling stories, sharing an update about our science project, three-pot plants named after our grandmothers. We’re talking about the future that we are blessed to have, not everyone is as lucky as the Thompson Family.

I'm rude writing these words, everyone is chatting, I’m going to sign off, but I want to remind you the importance of family. Always remember there is nothing worth sharing Like the love that let’s us share our name.

Cheers!
