Cincinnati, OH – It is with great excitement to announce that Maketewah Country Club is Number 2 in the State of Ohio and Number 30 in the United States for generous contributions to the Evans Scholars’ Par Club, and for special significant gifts to the Evans Scholars ?/ Western Golf Association/Evans Scholars Foundation . It is a tremendous service and honor what our Maketewah Members are doing, and they are committed across the Club to help change lives. In a direct address to Maketewah Members, David Bahr , Head Professional at Maketewah, and long-time Evans Scholars Par Club Member, writes:
“I would like to personally thank you for supporting our Caddie Program at Maketewah. There is no better way to have a direct impact on young adults and give back to our communities in the process.?You are literally changing peoples lives.”
Two years ago, Membership discussed the mission of the Caddie?Program?here at Maketewah, that it is more than someone carrying your bag and raking traps. It is giving life-changing opportunities for young men and women to work at a club with successful adults. They earn money, learn to interact with adults, and have opportunity to earn a full college?scholarship. Each and all of these items can change the trajectory of their life, especially for those who live in some of the neighborhoods that we support.?As a result, the Maketewah Board instituted a Billing Program?in 2019 to support the?Evans?Scholars Par Club for convenience of giving.
