It may be a new future where one previously didn’t exist.

Mediocrity won’t be remembered, so forget about it now.

Running out the clock is not an effective life or work strategy.

This moment you are in - love it, hate it, or indifferent towards it - make the most of it.

Learn something from the current discomfort.

Never settle for standing still in your own abilities, but at least make a single, purposeful step to improve yourself.

The career ladder burned down years ago.

Your current situation may simply be career scaffolding, holding up what will eventually be your masterpiece.

That’s the thing about scaffolding - it’s temporary, and often needs to be torn down and replaced; reinvented to serve a higher purpose.
