Make your brag book! (For your promotion)
Have you noticed what successful SDRs put in their LinkedIn profile??
Do you see the common metrics here for SDR?
When I was an SDR, I didn’t understand the importance of building my brag book and keeping track of these metrics.
I only remember that I had been consecutively hitting my SDR quota from Month 6 until Month 51. I remembered having months where I overachieved, but I forgot to note down by how much. I also couldn’t recall how many new logos I acquired or how much pipeline was closed from those I sourced through outbound.
So I hope you learn from my lesson and start building your brag book from Month 1.

Now, if you are an AE, you could add one more metric: the territory’s growth.
For example, when I took over Taiwan for Tableau in September 2013, I took a snapshot of these metrics: 30 existing customers, the industries they belonged to, how many customer stories were published on the corporate website, the best quarterly revenue from Taiwan, and all previous quarterly closed revenue and the number of new logos acquired.
(You can run a report in your CRM system and look at closed-won opportunities by quarter to get these numbers.)
I then had five quarters to execute my growth strategy, and at the end of December 2014, I took another snapshot of the same metrics. For instance, the quarterly revenue trend was X, 1.5X, 3X, 5X, and 8X. The total number of customers increased from 30 to 82, i.e., 52 new logos acquired.
The change is what I brought for Tableau.
I don’t like to do the “Comment below, and I’ll send the template” trick. I know it works with the LinkedIn algorithm.
