Make Some Magic!
Embrace your inner princess and give joy to a child who needs it most with A Moment of Magic at UNC. A Moment of Magic reminds children battling serious illnesses to be brave, strong and fearless by "restoring the magic of believing at a time when a child needs to 'just-be-a-kid.'"

UNC students embody fairytale characters and superheroes and visit children's hospitals, social service institutions, family homes, and large events. During the pandemic, A Moment of Magic created new and innovative ways to create virtual experiences for hospitalized children. Since March, the organization has provided over 35,000 virtual visits to children all over the world.

UNC is one of the 17 chapters of A Moment of Magic, which was founded in 2018. Volunteers get to dress up as fairytale characters, learn how to work with children living with life-altering conditions, and most importantly, bring laughter, magic, and friendship when a child needs it most.
Have you ever wanted to spin around in a big yellow gown like Belle, strut glass slippers like Cinderella, have luscious red hair like Ariel, or big bulging muscles like Superman? AND make children who need support smile ear-to-ear?
Well, here's your chance.
