HOW EXCITING ARE YOUR MONDAYS? LOL

If you're like many people, you start off your Monday spinning your wheels wondering where to get clients. Your business idea doesn't inspire you and the lack of money is depressing. Maybe you're wondering whether it's time to throw in the towel.

This is a normal reaction in the beginning and growth stages of your business. It is also normal for many people to quit at this point.

So what is it that keeps others in the game and how can you tap into this power as well?

I call it, the "Show up to Work" philosophy. This is how it works:

You go through your routine, sit down, and work.

That's it.

Take a look at your business - what does it need from you today?

For most of you, you may have to reach out to your social network and look for opportunities to share your expertise. Others may need to call up past clients to ask for repeat business.

Many times, people get into overwhelm and despair because they look at what's not working in their business or how much they have to do - and who likes work?

The key is to break down your day into tangible bits. What must I do today in/for my business?

Then act on it.

Your decision must lead to money to make sense. Sprucing up your website isn't going to lead to money. Reaching out to see if you can speak at a webinar or offering a service with clear benefits - that leads to money.

Often, people don't know whom to sell to and that keeps them procrastinating. Here's a newsflash for you - even well-established businesses are in the business of finding new customers. It's the oil that keeps your engine running.

Automating your marketing helps - like sending out newsletters and social media posts consistently to let others know about you.

Sitting down to work when you least feel like it - that's the gold right there. This is what will keep you in the game long after your peers have tapped out.

Now, there is a danger in going to work and using "push" energy to get results. This is when you're desperate to make money or show that you know what you're doing. It comes off too strong to those receiving your information and may even repel them.

How then do you show up genuinely and attract clients who want to buy from you?

First, get clear on what you're selling and why this is important. Next, figure out to whom your services are most important - that is, who will buy from you? What do they need that you have? Why are they looking for this solution? What have they tried before that doesn't work?
