So, you're about to hit the road, and you’re worried about keeping those gains and sticking to your fitness program? I’ve got your back. ??
First things first: the mind is a powerful tool. No matter where you are in the world, your mindset determines your choices. If you’re dead set on keeping fit while travelling, make certain choices NON-NEGOTIABLE!
????♂? Before you dive into sightseeing or meetings, go for a quick workout. Even if it’s just 20 minutes of bodyweight exercises in your hotel room, it’s better than nothing. This ensures that you're firing up your metabolism and keeping those muscles active.
?? Eating out is one of the best bits of travelling, but that doesn’t mean scoffing down every pie and pasty in sight. Make a non-negotiable rule to always start with a high-protein breakfast. This will not only fuel your muscles but also keep you full, so you're less likely to binge on snacks later.
?? Next, don't skimp on the H2O. Dehydration can sneak up on you, especially when you're in a new environment or flying. Always have a water bottle on hand.
?? Get Your Zzz's: Jet lag can be a right mare, but don't let it mess with your sleep pattern for too long. Prioritise sleep; it’s when our body recovers and grows.
Remember, it's not about being perfect, but consistent. It's those small, simple, non-negotiable choices that will keep you on track, even when you're miles away from your local gym.
Now go and have the best day! ??????
