Keys to Make More Money in Q4: (Business Owners & Employees)
I don't normally give any advice on making money, but I've been hearing more people talk about it so here are my insights. There is probably nothing below that you haven't heard before.
If you're an Entrepreneur:
1. Delegate. Stop doing the things you can hire someone for $20/hour to do. Your time is too valuable to be spending 8 hours on a Saturday meal prepping, doing laundry, and cleaning the shower. If you can't afford those things, try to just afford one and add the others as you start to make more money with the extra time you have.
2. Plan your day. Every night you should be doing some sort of brain dump. Get all the things you have to do for the next day on a piece of paper. Prioritize them, then piece your day together from most important to least important. (Check out The Perfect Day Script https://perfectdayformula.com/getting-started/script/)
3. Surround yourself with WINNERS. You will find that people with similar goals and paths help open doors for each other. If you're still hanging with that college friend who has no ambitions, it's just going to hold you back.
If you're an Employee:
1. Step up. Be the first person to say yes to anything and everything. Will you sacrifice personal time? Yes. However, when it comes time to ask for a raise you will have earned leverage.
2. Dedication. Your employers can tell when you are half there and half into something else. They will never invest in someone who isn't on board 100%. Just the facts.
3. Side Hustles. This can be a great way to get some extra cash in the pocket, just be aware it drains your bandwidth from your 9-5. You have to decide if the side hustle is worth the extra energy that you could be putting into you job. If it is, GREAT, just don't expect much extra coming from your 9-5.
4. Innovate. It's easy to go through the motions and just do what is asked of you. However, if you are able to bring more value to the business, chances are you'll get paid more.
Not sure if this actually helps anyone, but it's been a great guide for me and has helped me make more money this year than ever before.
