To make or not to make(up)...another cup of tea

We have been working-from-home for almost two years now and while many find it hard to find the demarcation between work and life - there are some areas where this work-life integration feels useful.. or even helpful.
Personally, it has saved me tons of time getting ready for work, specifically towards the effort of putting on makeup.
For context, I attend a lot of online meetings in my current job day-to-day and unless there's an important meeting/presentation, you'd never see me with a full-face or even a half-face (read: smidge) of makeup.
I now equate going out with putting on makeup and find showing up au-natural on video calls with internal and external folks very comfortable.
I also like my video on for the majority of my meetings as it feels more personal and as someone who doesn't deny a good OOTD or a full-face, this realisation was a little surprising for me.
I related to this Tik Tok/ Instagram reel so hard because unless I'm feeling way out of my comfort zone at work- I'll never show up fully ready with my A(ppearance)-game on.
'Zoom Dysmorphia' never bothered me and I find WFH very liberating as a working woman because I feel more at ease with my 'home personality' now being reflected in my 'work appearance'.
What about you? Do you find this shift in work-appropriate uniform liberating? Let me know in the comments below!

2 年I have never had the need for makeup;) it wouldn't make any difference. Lol But yes the wfh mode has created new work patterns and habits. I like a short nap during mid day now. Work clothing is more athleisure now. And work and home is fluid.

2 年I do find it liberating too! I love the flexibility of wearing more comfy clothes and also being able to throw on a blazer on top quickly if I need to do a presentation.
