Make Life With Your iPhone Better: Text Replacement

You ever find yourself typing the same thing over and over? Emails and phone numbers come to mind. If you're using an iPhone, give this a try...

1) Go to "Settings":

2) Click "General":

3) Click "Keyboard":

4) Click "Text Replacement":

5) In the upper-right, there's a "+" symbol. Click it:

6) The phrase you type all the time, your email or phone number or someone's name that's really long? Put that in the "Phrase" box (I'm using an email address in this example). In the "Shortcut" box, enter "@@", then click "Save":

When you're done, you should see something like this:

The next time I need to enter that email address, all I have to do is type "@@", and the email address appears. At this point, pressing the space bar will fill in that email address:
