Make An Impact- Fight Climate Crisis By Changing Your Ways
We care about a lot of things that impact our lives, however, not many of us care that much about the environment we live in. Climate change is real and as thinking individuals we should do our bit to fight the climate crisis.
Rising sea levels, extreme temperatures, severe drought, punishing floods... The effects of it are already threatening our health, our economy, and our future.
What can I personally do about it??
While as an individual alone it may not be possible to make drastic cuts that limit climate change, however, your actions can make some changes and raise the importance of issues.
Much of our electricity and heat are powered by coal, oil, and gas. Use less energy by reducing your heating and cooling use. Switch to LED light bulbs and energy-efficient electric appliances, wash your laundry with cold water, and hang things to dry instead of using a dryer. If possible, switch to renewable sources such as wind or solar.?
The roadways are clogged with vehicles, burning petrol and diesel. Walking or riding a bike instead will not only reduce greenhouse gas emissions but also your health and fitness. For longer distances, consider taking a train or bus. And carpool whenever possible.????????????
Producing plant-based foods requires less energy, land, and water and results in fewer greenhouse gas emissions. Eating more vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, and less meat and dairy, can significantly lower your environmental impact.??????
Be it us humans, animals, or plants, we all suffer from land and water contaminated by improperly discarded garbage. Buy less, use what you need, and when you don’t, dispose of it properly.?????????????
