Make Every Saturday - Small Business Saturday

For 25+ years I have had the same barber. ( I hug my barber and thank God he has something to cut each time I go). For nearly 20 years I shopped at The Cooks Warehouse https://www.cookswarehouse.com/ - for 8 years I have referred people to https://www.thewithagency.com/ for strategic thought and marketing. And nearly every day I lend (some very sketch advice) to small businesses (and some big ones).

But each year we have just one day where we organize to support small business - #smallbusinesssaturday - which is the day after black Friday and always feels like an apology to businesses being smoked by chains and online retailers.

But we are now in a special time - where every Saturday should be Small Business Saturday.

Can we try to make that happen?

We run the risk of losing the small businesses that are the fabric of our communities - and the entrepreneurial engines that fuel our economy. If you want to change America for the worse - take away her small businesses. It is time that we respect and support the people who start things. So with this post I am asking anyone and everyone to be active.

Lets make every Saturday - #smallbusinesssaturday - it won't take long to realize the government can't backstop the entire economy. It is up to us to support the entrepreneurs - the solo practitioners - the family businesses - and the spirit of Free Enterprise.

The NRA - the food one - is very busy with Take Out Tuesday - support that too - but if you have a chance and the means please spend some money with a small business - they are retailers and agencies and service providers - they are your neighbors.
