People can be incredibly creative when it comes to thinking of excuses.?
Sometimes we use excuses simply because we do not want to commit to something, or maybe because we are lazy and like to procrastinate instead of doing something.
Each and every one of us has done it, in one way or the other, in every aspect of our lives.
Your excuses can be different but they share one common trait — they are not welcome in your life.?Thus, they should be avoided by all means.
You make excuses when it comes to eating healthier, exercising, or getting that promotion you really want. Sometimes you make excuses to not be nice with the people around you.
You need to understand that the more you use excuses, the harder it will be to get things done. They become your new reality, one where you are too afraid to try, or you are simply too lazy to do something.
The excuses we use are not always something that we intentionally do. Sometimes they get the best of us, and we are not even aware of the consequences.
That is when you know that you’ve crossed the line, and it’s time to make a change.
If you want to achieve happiness in your life, and feel good with yourself, you need to stop with the excuses and start doing things instead. No matter how difficult they might seem at the moment, some things need to be done before it’s too late.
The Reasons We Make up Excuses
One of the most common reasons for making excuses all the time is fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of failure or making a mistake, fear of being exposed and vulnerable.?What was your New Year’s resolution, and how far have you come with pursuing it??What are your daily goals or your long-term aspirations?

Most people have at least one goal in their life i.e. to get healthier, get better at work, etc.
Some people, on the other hand, have none.
Without a doubt, procrastination and laziness are one of the biggest contributors to coming up with an excuse not to do something.
At least once in your lifetime, you’ve probably faced a situation where you just don’t want to do something. For example, you need to study for an exam but instead, you lay in bed or watch movies. You tell yourself that you will finish the task later, but that later somehow is postponed every time you think of getting the work done.
The first step towards improving your life and getting rid of the awful habit of making excuses all the time is by acknowledging that you are, in fact, doing this to yourself.
The sooner you realize that you have the potential to make things right and lead a much better and fulfilled life, the better it will turn out for you.
Next time when you are faced with a situation where you are required to take action, whether it’s something small or life-changing, think of how much you can actually achieve and go for it.?Do not rely on excuses to get you anywhere in life, because they won’t.
There are only two options- Make progress or make excuse
They are just keeping you away from your own happiness.
So why use them?
