Make a Difference in the Life of a Child

Today is a great day to make a difference in the life of a child! 

Imagine being a young child and having to fend for yourself. Your dad is in jail. Your mom is addicted to drugs & alcohol, and has abandoned you. Your grandmother tries to look after you, but she has hardly enough money to feed herself, let alone you.

These are stories we hear everyday at HART. One of the ways we help them (other than feeding them, giving them medical & dental care, giving them an education, housing them, & loving them) is to send them to camp.

For one week each summer we get to send thousands of kids who have very difficult lives to camp. It's one week that they can be kids. They can forget how tough it is for them to survive.

On May 1, we are having our charity auction to raise money to send kids to camp.
