Make Batching Easy

Make Batching Easy

Whenever I do planning with clients, one of the top things I like to get them to do is to break their business down into subjects or categories. It makes it SO much easier to actually get a plan in place and unlocks those creative juices too.

Especially pertinent when writing a marketing plan. In fact, I don’t know how to do it more effectively than like this and I’m including a little example below to show you what I mean - in cake (of course):

SUBJECTS WE COULD TALK ABOUT WHEN IT COMES TO CAKE:

  • + Recipes
  • + Equipment
  • + History & interesting facts

Then we could chunk these down even further:

+ RECIPES

> muffins, tray bakes, cupcakes, sponges, tortes…

+ EQUIPMENT

> bowls, ovens, decoration, training, ingredients…

+ HISTORY & INTERESTING FACTS

> ancient recipes, cakes over the years, trends, fashion, facts…

Then from these, we can create posts, blogs videos and more discussing elements in detail.

For example, if you were running a foody based group on Facebook, for each day you can assign a set theme:

  • Monday = Meat
  • Tuesday = Vegetarian
  • Wednesday = Juices
  • Thursday = Fish
  • Friday = Dessert

How could you do something similar with your business?

Ideally, I like to break down the main themes into 12 months and then each of those into 4 weeks and then each of those into as many subjects as I want to share about.

Once you’ve done it you can do a little happy dance and then get on with batch creating your content! :)

If you want a hand to do this you know it’s something I adore doing so feel free to get in touch and we can spend some time together getting you all categories up! Woop!

Big love.

xx
