We’re here to sleigh at Grow Good Towers this month
Hey!
Can you believe we’re already on the cusp of the festive season? I know, like whaaat? What happened to 2023? Sheesh, you turn your back for a minute and someone steals 12 months from under your nose…
But wait! The year isn’t over yet, there’s still plenty of life in this 2023 old dog yet. So let’s get into it. Round here at Grow Good Towers, we’ve been thinking about the conundrum of Christmas from a ‘save the planet’ perspective.
We’re not silly enough to believe people will just stop buying Christmas presents but we definitely believe people can buy better at Christmas - buying products or services that are helping build a better world. In other words, buying B Corp.
So we’ve put together a little Christmas catalogue with a few ideas you can buy from New Zealand businesses - because that’s where we live. If you don’t live in NZ, there will be great B Corps in your country to buy from, have a hunt in the Find A B Corp directory.
What else have we got for you? In this newsletter we have…
- A frenzy of newborn B Corps
- Call out to small businesses! Join our next B Corp cohort starting 26 Jan 2024
- Link you to a our one minute wrap of news in NZ B Corp world
But wait, there’s more! Find links to our latest podcasts and blogs - including a conversation with Unilever NZ Managing Director Cameron Heath on how and why large businesses are getting B Corp Certified. Plus the evidence from proper academic studies that proves once and for all how embracing sustainability boosts your business’s bottom line. Read the blog here.
And finally, right at the bottom, check out some pix from our recent IRL get-together at a B Local event in Otautahi-Christchurch.
Yours in purpose,
Tim

Are you conflicted about Christmas?
It’s a tricky time of year for those of us who are torn between horror over the damage caused by our insatiable consumerism and an inexplicable deep love of tinsel, fruit mince pies, Christmas cake, and cheesy jumpers.
So our mantra is, ‘don’t buy unless you have to and if you have to, buy B Corp’.
To make that easier, we’ve created this NZ B Corp Christmas Gift Guide.
Share it far and wide!
Merry Christmas rockstars!
