Make 2025 the Year of Transformation

Make 2025 the Year of Transformation

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and have plans for the New Year Celebrations. To those hardy souls currently working towards a 31st December Year End we salute you, you are without a doubt what keeps your Business in Business. Having maxed out the number of Newsletters permitted during 2024, which is 5, I had to wait until my Interim Times Newsletter was mothballed by LinkedIn before I could create my Finance Transformation Newsletter and I hope you will follow it throughout 2025 for my top tips.

I was going to keep it until January but I know full well many Finance teams are in work and many others just like a break from the Festivities, which can wear us all down at times. Yesterday I attended the oldest continuance Cross Country Race in the world as Donore Harriers assembled the great and the good from an illustrious list of former Champions to blow away those Christmas Day cobwebs.

Later Man Utd continued to try my patience and break my heart as they rolled over to Wolves. I can honestly say United have not filled me with such trepidation since the dog days of the Big Ron era. I am beginning to fear we may be in a relegation dogfight if this run of dreadful results is not soon reversed.

Throughout October and November I conducted a LinkedIn Messaging Campaign with interesting results and it was great to reconnect with former colleagues and friends, particularly in the run up to Christmas. I was also delighted at the number of Businesses actively planning Finance Transformation programs in 2025.

The Training Programs and Roadshows were a highlight of 2024 and I am delighted that with some support from one or two top names in the Transformation space they will continue to expand through 2025. I may move the Training more to a Training On Demand (TOD) format, whereby we come visit you and address a number of areas all at once with your Business being the soul focus of attention.

I will also be returning to the Studio for some Transformation Interviews in the New Year to match those recorded at Old Trafford and Aston Villa last year. In fact I am hoping that we may get Forest as a backdrop and then that will complete the 'set' whereby I get my picture taken with 3 European Cups, chuckle.

In December I had a few brain storming sessions with the great and the good, out of which a Management Retreat has emerged as a possibility in 2025. Preferably, I am sure you will agree, somewhere warm.

I have also been working in the background on a Design Lab, which I have been actively looking for a suitable permanent home for. More of that to follow in 2025.

I hope I have something that can help you Transform Finance in 2025 either actively leading your Program or helping you to do it.

Any questions or enquiries just drop me a message and I will have a video in my next Edition from which you can start laying the foundations of your Finance Transformation Program.

Best Regards,

Michael Ryan.

Witching you well for 2025 Michael Ryan The only finance transformation I wish to achieve is in highways, via Curing Pothole Britain we can save the economy over £25Bn a year, probably increasing GDP by 3/4%. Every organisation which joins in will improve efficiency enabling significant effectiveness gains. Current “roads” annual costs include: £42Bn crashes £16Bn congestion £16Bn air pollution (around 1/4 from roads) Active travel will add around £25Bn net value… If only economists would listen and evaluate?
