Make 2017 your BEST Year EVER!

As the New Year approaches, we focus on New Beginnings. We take inventory of this year to figure out how to make things better in the next. Several have lost jobs and are spending the holidays thinking about perhaps the next chapter in their career or even their lives.

Not only am I approaching a New Year, but also a milestone birthday on January 14th - the BIG 50! I wanted to share with you a few things that I think are important:

1. Have Faith. Life is cyclical, there will be ups and downs... that’s just part of the deal and it’s just the way it is!  Things will get better, they always do.
2. We are the average of the 5 people we surround ourselves with so make sure they are of good quality. 
3. Make your health a priority.  Do EVERYTHING you can to exercise and eat right.  If you don’t have your health, NOTHING else matters. Our country is getting sicker and sicker. Breast Cancer has doubled in the past 40 years. Obesity is approaching 70% nationally. BOTH of my parents had and still have CANCER and it SUCKS!!! This is preventable and frankly, we’re not doing enough about it.
4. LOVE what you do or at least LIKE it A LOT.  If you got laid off it just means that door has closed. Another one will open but if you're focused on the closed door, you won’t see the one that’s open for you.  I LOVE what I do!  I do the "carpet commute and my casual Fridays include PJ's. I work from home am able to use the skill set I learned in Pharma as well as leverage the relationships I built in that industry to build something that can’t be taken out from under me again.
5. Be Kind.  You have no idea what others have been through to be where they are or why they are where they are.
