Cincinnati, OH – Maketewah Country Club warmly welcomes Patrick Moore to lead in a newly established position to the Club, Food & Beverage Director. While bringing a wealth of experience from both the restaurant and hospitality industries, as well as from the corporate sector in sales, marketing and product development, he is enjoying his more recent return to the hospitality industry in private club settings. Patrick is looking forward to bringing his passions to the Maketewah team for years to come, adding to a continued private golf club experience that exceeds Member expectations.

A good bottle of wine does not need a cork.

As the new F&B Director, one of Patrick’s first assignments is a wine list overhaul, and his approach is all-embracing. In curating bottle selections, his favorite French proverb is top of mind – once drawn, the cork will not be needed. He writes:

“I am excited to take on the revamping of the wine list! As a lover of wines, I enjoy seeking out the new and the different, yet I also appreciate the old world, more recognizable, and established vineyards. Having been asked to pair wines for our recent Farm to Table dinner event, I was all in. This gave me the opportunity to feature several wines from our soon to be completed 2022/2023 wine list.”

Selecting for the locally-sourced fall Farm to Table event, and in collaborating to provide wine parings that enhance Chef Brandon Bobb ’s seasonally-inspired dishes, Patrick is hand-picking some alluring options. His exploration of wines sourced from the world’s best growing regions is thoughtful; he is talented in selecting choice grapes and styles, quality over quantity, and the balancing of old and new world wines with current fan favorites. Most importantly, he sniffs out characteristics and attributes in wine that cater to Members’ and Guests’ wide variety of tastes.

Maketewah is lucky to have Patrick as an asset to the Club, and Membership can look forward to an enhanced, always pleasurable, and ever-evolving wine & dine experience.
