Major IT Job Opportunity - Blade Infrastructure Engineers - Luxembourg fully based

We are looking for a Blade Infrastructure Engineer to join our team for onsite data center operations. This role requires hands-on experience with server installations, troubleshooting, and hardware maintenance in a critical IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:

?? Infrastructure Support & Maintenance

• Perform physical installations of servers, racks (Blade/DL), and IBM xSeries.
• Handle firmware, BIOS, and driver updates to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform technical interventions on disks, RAM, and other hardware components.

?? Incident Management & Troubleshooting

• Act as the first point of contact for corrective calls requiring onsite intervention.
• Open, track, and resolve technical support tickets with vendors (HP, IBM, Lenovo).
• Work closely with teams to plan and execute hardware replacements and upgrades.

?? Inventory & Compliance Management

• Maintain accurate inventory records for servers and hardware components.
• Oversee server decommissioning, data erasure (Blanco), and compliance documentation.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and security requirements for all infrastructure services.

?? Monitoring & Optimization

• Proactively monitor system health and performance using HP-SIM and other tools.
• Perform regular firmware updates and optimize server images to maintain high availability.
• Participate in server disengagement and ACT initiatives to improve system efficiency.

?? On-Call Duty Support

• Participate in a rotating duty service (weekly basis, Friday 6 PM – Friday 8 AM) to cover urgent data center interventions.

Required Skills & Experience:

? 3-5+ years experience in data center infrastructure, Blade servers, and hardware support. ? Strong knowledge of HP, IBM, and Lenovo server hardware.

? Experience with rack installations, firmware updates, and hardware troubleshooting.

? Familiarity with server decommissioning, inventory tracking, and compliance.

? Ability to work independently and respond to critical issues in a high-pressure environment.

? Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Additional Information:

• This is a full-time onsite role in a secure data center environment.
• The engineers must be flexible with travel between multiple data center locations.
