As our Systems Administrator, you'll be a critical force behind the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure. You’ll be directly responsible for the stability, scalability, and security of both hardware and software systems across the enterprise. Here’s a more detailed look at what you’ll manage:
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the entire IT ecosystem, ensuring optimal performance of Linux and MS servers, network devices, storage solutions, and virtualization platforms (VMware).
- Process Automation and Management: Handle IT operations processes such as change management, version control, capacity planning, and availability management, using tools and automation to streamline these tasks.
- Project Execution and Oversight: Lead the deployment and administration of IT projects, ensuring alignment with system architecture and compliance protocols.
- Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Manage and supervise third-party vendors and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to SLAs and timely execution of tasks.
- Helpdesk Escalation Support: Provide Tier 3 escalation support for incidents and service requests, leveraging advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies to resolve complex issues.
- Security Enforcement: Implement and enforce security policies, managing firewalls, monitoring tools, and conducting system hardening in compliance with security frameworks.
- Documentation and Compliance: Ensure thorough documentation of configurations, changes, and incidents, contributing to compliance and audit readiness.
We are seeking a highly technical professional with a broad skill set and deep experience in IT infrastructure:
- Education: Degree in IT (BTS or equivalent).
- Languages: Fluent in Luxembourgish, German, French, and English.
- Experience:5+ years administering Linux (preferably RHEL/CentOS) and MS Server environments. Hands-on experience managing VMware ESXi and vCenter virtual environments. Advanced understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing. Proficiency in managing MS-SQL and MySQL databases, with knowledge of Oracle being advantageous. Competence in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages. Experience with enterprise SAN/NAS storage technologies and configuration. Solid background in network security, including deploying and maintaining firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet) and using security monitoring tools (e.g., IDS/IPS, SIEM).Experience with thin client infrastructure, regardless of manufacturer.
