Major Fair 2022 - Exploring Majors

Today I attended one of my favorite events - the Annual Major Fair. Regardless of my campus affiliation, this activity to explore major, minor, certificate options and support services has been a career constant that I always look forward to each year. The academic advising community and partners come today to share options that result in students building their degree. This activity is organized by the A Center at The University of Arizona.

As I walked to the office today, I was struck by the number of fairs I had attended in my 20+ year career. I began to reflect on the impact of this activity. Do students find it helpful to have campus major opportunities in one place with representatives eager to share the options? A good question to explore as we understand the process for finding not only a major but an academic home as student's pursue a bachelor's degree.

I appreciate all the people who participated today - students, academic advisors, faculty and campus partners. It was great to be in-person and connecting as a community. Thanks to the A-Center Team for your energy and effort in making this happen!
